The unique creatures called THLieblinge show pure, intuitive love. Each pair has one colour to represent harmony, mutual values, or common interests. They also have a personal colour to express their individual soul and character.

A solar plexus symbol on their bellies stands for passion, energy, and joy. The series shows how love unites us while allowing us to stay true to ourselves.

Once, we were whole. In ancient Greek mythology, Plato spoke of humans as perfect spheres. But fearing our power, the gods split us in two, and we began to search for our missing half.

Longing is a whole series about that search. Each painting shows the desire to feel whole again.

Some of the THLieblinge may look very different from one another, but love goes deeper than appearances, heritage, beliefs or any other diversities.

Better a Broken Heart
than No Heart

The heart is more than an organ. It’s a symbol of love and compassion.

In this painting, one soul stands wounded, heartbroken but alive. She is devasted, yes, but not defeated. Her heart still beats, pulsing with love and energy.

The other is untouched, but cold and empty. His heart is closed, lifeless. A life without kindness, is a life half-lived.

This painting reminds us that to love, even at the risk of heartbreak, is to truly live. Better a broken heart than no heart at all.

Pandemic Love

In a world forced apart, love found new ways to flow. Pandemic Love shows connection in a time of distance. An elderly person and a young adult stand apart, both masked. Their eyes reflect longing and strength.

During COVID, families were kept apart. Parents and children couldn’t be together.

But love still flowed through screens, calls, and quiet words.

This painting honours that love. Even in isolation, love refused to be locked down.
